Building a Personal Homepage on Blackboard, indicating my goals for this course and attaching a photo was the very first assignment. I barely knew what I was doing when posting this homepage and had some difficulty uploading the photo. Since then, I believe I have accomplished the goals I originally outlined. However, I feel I have only touched the surface of the vast knowledge available in the computer world and have only taken baby steps to the skills possible to attain. The skillful instruction led me to this assessment.
I have learned a great deal from evaluating websites and plagiarism to developing PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets and digital storytelling. Determining whether information is authentic is invaluable when working in a healthcare facility where the business is saving and improving human life. All of the learned skills will be instrumental as well as useful in the field of healthcare. Some examples of use are patient education using PowerPoint and Digital Storytelling. Excel spreadsheets to analyze financial statistics. Word-processing to communicate through written word at a variety of levels, i.e. to management, employees, outside vendors and the community.
As a result of the information provided in this course and my application of it, I believe I have earned an A.
